The Bihar Board reported an overall pass percentage of 81.79% for the 2026 Matric exams, a slight dip from 82.11% in 2025. Of the 15,12,687 students who appeared, over 12.35 lakh successfully passed. Two female students claimed the top position this year.

1. Visit the official website at matricbiharboard.com or results.biharboardonline.com.
2. Click on the Bihar Board 10th Result 2026 link on the homepage.
3. Enter your roll code, roll number, and captcha code. Then click Submit.
4. Your BSEB Matric 2026 marks sheet will appear on screen.
5. Download and save it for Class 11 admission and future use.

You can also verify your result via SMS. Please type BIHAR10 followed by a space and your ROLL-NUMBER. Your result will then be sent back as an SMS. No internet needed, simple as that.

The Bihar government rewards top performers with cash prizes and electronics. Here’s the breakdown: first-rank holders receive ₹2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh Only), a laptop, and a Kindle e-reader. Second-rank holders get ₹150,000/- with similar gadgets. Third rank holders receive ₹100,000/- and students ranking 4th to 10th each receive ₹30,000/-.

Additionally, all students passing in First Division receive a ₹10,000 scholarship from the Bihar Government under the student incentive scheme.

Bihar Board Matric Compartment 2026 – Important Dates

Students who could not pass one or two subjects can apply for the Bihar Board Matric Compartmental Examination 2026. The online application window for both the Matric Special Examination 2026 and the Matric Compartmental Examination 2026 runs from 1st April 2026 to 7th April 2026. Bihar Board compartmental practical exams will be held tentatively in May 2026.

Here’s the important part students failing in more than two subjects cannot appear for the compartment exam. They must reappear in the full annual examination next year. The BSEB has set a target to declare compartment results by 31st May 2026, so students do not lose an academic year.

Bihar Board Matric Scrutiny 2026 & Re-evaluation Details

Students dissatisfied with their marks in any subject can apply for scrutiny after the Bihar Board 10th Result 2026 declaration. The scrutiny form will be available on biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in with a fee of ₹70/- (seventy rupees Only) per subject. Apply within the official window; applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

During scrutiny, examiners re-verified whether all answers were evaluated, total marks were calculated correctly, and marks were recorded on the front page of the answer copy. Your final marks may increase or decrease after scrutiny. Furthermore, students scoring 33% in aggregate but falling short by up to 8% in one subject or up to 4% each in two subjects may be awarded grace marks to help them pass.
