The State Council of Educational Research and Training, Punjab (SCERT Punjab), under the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), has declared the PSTET Result 2026 on 7th April 2026 at the official website, pstet2025.org.

The SCERT conducted the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test on 15th March 2026 in two shifts: Paper 1 (10:00 AM to 12:30 PM) for Classes 1-5 and Paper 2 (2:00 PM to 4:30 PM) for Classes 6th to 8th at exam centers across Punjab.

The provisional answer key was released on 16th March 2026, and the objection window closed on 21st March 2026. The final answer key was released on 5th April 2026, after which SCERT Punjab prepared the Punjab TET result based on the final corrected answers.

PSTET Result 2026 Date: When Was It Declared?

According to the official schedule released by SCERT Punjab, the PSTET result for 2026 was declared on 7th April 2026. The exam was held on 15th March, and the provisional answer key came out the very next day, 16th March 2026. Candidates had 5 days (17th to 21st March) to raise objections against any answer.

The PSTET final answer key was published on 5th April 2026, and the result was prepared based on it. That’s a 23-day turnaround from exam to result significantly faster than PSTET 2025, where the gap between the exam (1st December 2024) and result (19th February 2025) was nearly 80 days.

Note: A 2-day correction window opened exclusively for qualified candidates after the result announcement. Correction requests via email or telephone were not accepted before the result was declared, according to the official PSTET answer key schedule.

PSTET 2026 Cut Off Marks — Category Wise Qualifying Criteria

The PSTET 2026 cutoff marks are set by the board they do not change based on the number of candidates or difficulty level. General category candidates need 90 out of 150 marks (60%), while SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates need 82 out of 150 (55%). Even a score of 81 for reserved category candidates will result in disqualification. No exceptions.

PSTET Merit List 2026

SCERT Punjab released the PSTET merit list 2026 alongside the result declaration on 7th April 2026. The merit list PDF contains the names, roll numbers, registration numbers, father’s names, and marks of candidates who scored at or above the qualifying cutoff. Candidates on the merit list receive the PSTET Eligibility Certificate, valid for a lifetime as per NEP 2020 / NCTE guidelines.
