The UP Board of High School Education conducted the UP Board 10th Examination 2025 for both private and vocational students from 21st March to 4th April 2025. A total of 29.47 lakh students appeared in the exam, among them 15.71 lakh boys and 13.75 lakh girls.
Remarkably, the UP board completed evaluating the answer scripts for the high school examination within a record period of time, i.e., 13 working days, from March 19 to March 31, 2025. In total, 94,802 examiners were assigned to evaluate 1.76 crore answer sheets for the 10th board exam in 131 evaluation centers.

Uttar Pradesh high school students must fulfill the minimum passing criterion of 33% marks to get into the next class. All students will have to obtain a minimum of 33% marks in each subject as well as aggregate. However, students who do not get passing marks in two subjects will have the chance to appear in the compartment exam conducted in July every year.

If any student who has failed the UP Board High School exam 2025 is not able to score the minimum passing mark of 33%, they can apply for the compartmental or supplementary examination 2025. Students have the opportunity to reappear for the UP Board High School Compartment Exam in July 2025 to pass any two subjects. Students have to pay a fee of Rs. 256 per subject.
