The MSCE (महाराष्ट्र राज्य परीक्षा परिषद), Pune, conducted the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test 2025-26 on November 23, 2025. The examination lasted 2 hours and 30 minutes and was held in two shifts. The morning shift was held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and the afternoon shift was held from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. According to the MSCE reports, nearly 382,667 candidates had registered for this exam (203,334 for Paper 1 and 179,333 for Paper 2).
Paper 1 is designed for candidates aspiring to teach primary classes (1st to 5th), while Paper 2 is designed for those aiming to teach upper primary classes (6th to 8th) for government schools in Maharashtra.
